This is a deposit for my Yoga Chi Gung Teacher Training Course - Distance Studies

I'm excited and scared. I've never been a big fan of home work and this is basically a correspondence course. i _have_ to be motivated.

The other scary thing is the graduation requirements, apart from the course assessment work, doing heaps of contact hours with my mentor/teacher and attending a first aid course (already done that bit *phew*), in two years time, i must:-

- Embrace the dietary and lifestyle guidelines and transition towards a lacto-vegetarian diet

- Apply the philosophy and practices in daily life including: posture and body use; harmony of home; clothing; natural body and skin care; choice of health care; work environment; and relationships.

- Be solely committed to the practice and teaching of Yoga Chi Gung.

NO MORE SOUVLAKIS! THEY'RE GOING TO MAKE ME CLEAN UP MY ROOM! I'M GONNA HAVE TO WEAR TIE DYED CHEESE CLOTH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgh!

Jokes aside, i have to be prepared for some pretty full on lifestyle changes.

thanks :) time will tell anyway.

My teacher had classes at the Hartington Centre in Northcote. This year she's moved to Jika Jika Community Centre which is also in Northcote. I think she does classes at Monkey Studio in Collingwood and somewhere in Alphington.

i did _real_ Chi Gung for a term at a Kung Fu place in the city too.

The course i'm doing is a hybrid Yoga/Chi Gung. It's more the Chi Gung i'm interested in though.

it's weird how easy I find it to put off doing stuff that I *know* I enjoy, and that I get a lot out of

he he, yeah, i can completely relate to that comment. This whole lifestyle change thing will mean practicing every day, something i have tried to do over the last few years but failed miserably at, even though it makes me feel a thousand times calmer, saner and happier when i do practice it regularly.

A friend of mine is doing a traditional yoga teaching course, she's also done Chi Gung for a year or two. She says there's a difference with how it makes you feel. Yoga makes you feel like you've done a work out while Chi Gung makes you feel lighter.

Blurb from my teacher's handout:-
Health is the finest prize,
contentment the greatest wealth,
a good friend the finest companion
and Nirvana the greatest happiness.

Yoga Chi Gung is an integrated, flowing practice which harmonises and energises the body, mind and spirit. It provides the opportunity to be still, reflect and create space for the new. YCG catalyses change but also supports the seeker through the process of change, leading to a sense of peace and well-being.

Sugar you can so easily pull this one off... after all look at the lifestyle change you made in the last year (facetious pun referring to a relationship with a certain friend of mine :)

No, really, you'll be right.

And I too have a penchant for procastination when the outcome will benefit me... or when I have to do soemthing.
